Captain Harry Pattison

Captain Harry Pattison is a US Coast Guard licensed Master of Sail and Power Vessels of 100 tons and up to 200 miles off shore. He has more than 40 years experience sailing the Pacific, Caribbean and Salish Sea. Harry and Joy returned in October of 2023 from a 25,000+ circumnavigation of the Pacific Ocean.

Beyond his maritime experience, he is a freelance writer and a former adjunct professor at the University of Oregon School of Journalism.

He lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife Joy.  They have three daughters and a ship’s cat.
